Beth Gordon

I am so honored to be a part of DCGR! There is nothing better than seeing the smiles and sense of pride on the students’ faces during the team challenges. A fairly recent ballroom dance enthusiast, it has become a true passion, and I dance as often as possible! Working at Rigby’s Jig as an instructor, focusing mostly on wedding couples has been so much fun. I am a board member of the newly formed Greater Richmond Dance Project.

Volunteer work is a big part of my life, and I currently work as a wish granter for Make-A-Wish Greater Virginia. Dancing with residents at local retirement homes and assisted living facilities is also a love.

I play volleyball at RVC (although my current goal is to not get hurt, so I can still dance!), and recently ended my time at Collegiate School as a volleyball coach. My son, Max, is in his last year at Wake Forest University.

Kamran Raika

Growing up in Argentina, I was able to develop a unique perspective on the overall connectedness of our global economy. Having the opportunity to study in Rome and through other travels, I have pushed myself to have a broader perspective when it comes to an investment philosophy. I graduated with bachelor degrees in both finance and international business from Temple University. My Career in investment consulting began in 1993 when I worked at Prudential Securities, a predecessor of Wells Fargo Advisors.

I hold a Certificate in Financial Planning from Virginia Commonwealth University, and I am part of a select group at Wells Fargo Advisors as a Fundamental Choice Portfolio Manager.

In the community I serve on the Richmond Symphony Board. I am a founding member and serve on the Board of Dancing Classrooms of Richmond, Virginia, an organization dedicated to raising confidence and self-esteem in children through the practice of social dance. I have served as the President of the Virginia Center for Latin American Art, a non-profit created to provide art programs for children in at risk communities with a growing Latino population. I am Vice Chair and founding member of the Corporate Network for the VAHCC.

I enjoy all the great outdoor activities the Richmond area has to offer. You may find me on the roads cycling, running or mountain biking the trails or kayaking down the James River. I live in Midlothian with my wife Dr. Ana Raika a practicing dentist since 2001, we have three very busy boys: Navid, Ricardo and Alejandro.
